A beautiful pair of antique circa 1868 heavy Silver Plated candlesticks drom the steamship Glenartney.
The Glenartney was built for British firm Jardine, Matheson & Co. to carry passengers and cargo along the Hong Kong to Calcutta route.
In excellent condition for their age, no big dents or damage, just very small signs of use and age and a few very small bumps and surface marks. They have polished beautifully with mild wear to one candlestick and moderate wear contemplating on the other. Marked with the ship name on the front and as made by Elkington near the base with the date stamp for manufacture in the year 1868.
Candlesticks measure approximately 11 inches tall.
