An incredible antique copper pot with iron handle and hand-applied tin lining from The Chamonix Palace hotel in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France. One of the original Mont-Blanc Palace hotels, the Chamonix Palace opened in 1910 ushering in a new era of luxury for the winter resort town. The Hotel is still standing, but has been converted mainly into residential apartments with an Alpine museum on the ground floor.

Great antique condition, lots of small signs of age and use in the way of small marks and surface scratches, but no major dents or damage. Newly polished and retinned it so it is ready for use! Stamped on one side with “Chamonix Palace” along with a couple stamped owners initials. No makers marked to be found anywhere, but my favorite thing about this pot is the beautiful wrought iron handle with four sturdy rivets.
