A seldom seen antique circa early 1900s heavy silver plated creamer from Rector’s in New York City! Rector’s was the grandest of the Broadway “Lobster Palaces” and is one of the most important restaurants in American social history.
In excellent condition, no large dents or damage, just the usual small signs of use you would expect from old restaurant silver that was used daily. Made by Smith Silver Co and marked on the front “Rectors”
Measures approximately 2.5 inches tall.
The interior and exterior photos of Rector’s are from the blog The American Menu, which was invaluable in researching and dating this piece. http://www.theamericanmenu.com/2015/08/rectors.html?m=1
