An antique circa early 1900s silver plated ice cream dish from The Lambs club in New York City! The Lambs is America's First Professional Theatrical Club, established in New York in 1874. The Lambs was named after a club by the same name in London, the club's name honors the essayist Charles Lamb, and his sister Mary, who played host to actors and literati at their famed salon in London in the warly 1800s. The Lambs is a social gathering place for persons in the performing arts; Performers, directors, writers, artists, and technicians. In great vintage condition, no large dents or damage, just a couple small bumps and lots of little surface scratches from utensils. It has very minor tarnish but will polish perfectly if desiredl.
