A beautiful antique circa early 1900s French copper splayed pot with iron handle, completely restored with new hand applied tin. In great condition, lots of signs of age and use from a commercial kitchen, small marks and bumps but no big dents. It sits flat on our gas range, but there might be a very slight wobble on an extremely flat cooking surface such as glass. The wrought iron handle shows a hairline crack that was stabilized years ago, there is an old repair to the hanging loop of the handle, all things you would expect from a 100+ year-old hotel piece that was used heavily, daily. Stamped with the mark of Jules Gaillard of Paris, a timeworn “du Parc Vichy” near the handle, also stamped "HP" and “AC”. This heavy, hotel-weight piece weighs 6 pounds 7 ounces, with 2.7mm thickness at the rim. Measures 9.5” wide across the top, 7” wide at the base, 3.25” deep, and 17.25” long including handle.
