A lovely antique French hammered copper Charlotte or cake mold by J & E Gaillard of Paris, lined with tin. This is a hand-crafted piece and the craftsmanship is superb! There are some light scratches, minor cosmetic blemishes and a bit of patina around the handles, as you would expect from a piece of copper cookware 100+ years old on one side, on the other side there were some marks that were made with a power tool, I'm not sure if someone was trying to clean it up or aggressively polish it, but unfortunately the walls are thin enough that we couldn't entirely polish out the scratch marks. This piece is still perfectly usable, it has been relined with new tin, and it displays beautifully from most sides.
