An antique circa mid to late-1800s English copper roasting or braising pan with lid. Weighing in at almost than 9 pounds, this super-sturdy piece was definitely built to last. The craftsmanship is superb! The pot features dovetail or cramp seams, and both the body and lid have sturdily attached handles. This antique pan has been cleaned, tinned, and polished, and is ready to cook with. In excellent condition, small surface marks that you would expect from 120+ year old copper cookware, small marks and dings mostly to the base and rolled lip, but no damage or structural issues. A Benham & Froud mark can be found on the base, marked on the lid and the body with the retailer mark “W. R. Walker 97 Mount St. W” along with the initials MV.
