A beautiful antique circa 1891 silver plated charger from the historic Holland House in New York City! In excellent condition for a piece that's 120+ years old, no dents or damage. Some light surface scratches, bumps, and small marks you’d expect from old hotel silver that was used daily. Light tarnish/patina without any wear to the silver plating, aside from some small speckles in the center. Double marked with a beautiful hotel crest on the top, marked as made by Gorham in 1891 on the base with the names of the hotel founders. Measures approx 10 inches wide, made to fit a plate or bowl 9 inches wide or less. It's about 1.25 inches deep, so this could also be used as a shallow serving bowl, or filled with crushed ice for oysters or seafood. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holland_House_(New_York_City)
