A beautiful antique circa 1920s heavy silver plated dessert dish from the iconic Louis Sherry’s restaurant in New York City! Louis Sherry originally had one of the finest restaurants in New York City, but closed it during prohibition and moved into ice cream and candies provided through the Waldorf Astoria and Sherry – Netherland hotels in New York City. This little dish came from one of those ice cream and candy parlors.
In excellent antique condition, it does have some light surface marks and dimples, as frequently seen in old hotel/restaurant silver that was used daily. No large dents, bumps or damage though, and it has polished up beautifully! The restaurant name is marked on the base along with International Silver makers marks.
Measures approx. 5 inches long along the handle, 4 inches wide not including the handle.
