A beautiful antique circa 1903 heavy silver plated wine or champagne cooler/bucket from the historic St. Regis Hotel in New York City! The St. Regis took 3 years to build for the then-staggering sum of $5.5 million, Construction started in 1901 and it finally opened in September 1904. This bucket was made in 1903, so it is clearly from their very first silver order making it a rare find indeed!

Great condition for it's age, no major dents or damage, though there are small bumps and dings on the body and a very small split to one handle (this is a very minor issue that I didn’t even notice the first time I gave the bucket a once over, the handle is still very secure). The silver plating is in great condition, there is some wear through to the copper metal underneath on the handles. Marked on the base with the Saint Regis name along with a Gorham Markes and a date stamp for the year 1903.

Measures 9" tall by about 9” wide across the handles
